Rustbelt Tragedy

Will there be some peace for the working man

Tryin' to make a livin' the best he can

Working two day jobs and just barely getting by

There's reasons enough for a man to cry

Can't get no sleep, can't get no rest

Can't afford to get sick or get out of debt

They'll put you up to let you down

Ronny's simple man is still proud

Oooh, tragedy

Rustbelt tragedy

The day he was born they slapped numbers to his name

And he'll be chained to them 'till his grave

Gotta right to work but no decent wage

Just another modern day American slave

There's room at the top or so they say

Once it trickles down then you'll get paid

You can't keep full from spoon fed lies

These are reasons enough for a man to cry

Oooh, tragedy

Rustbelt tragedy

Roll, let it roll, the cars are comin' down the line

Roll, let it roll, the workers makin' double time

Gone now, it's gone, doors locked by corporate greed

Gone now, it's gone, we're here but the job is overseas

In today's news the stock markets hit a record high

Everybody will eat good and sleep well tonight

Skies will be clear, we're going to bring it to Stephanie

Live from the rustbelt

Well, I'm out here in the Rustbelt

And I can hear the dinner bells call

The 99% fills the cup

And the 1% swallowed it all

Oooh, tragedy

Roll, let it roll, cars are coming down the line

Rustbelt tragedy

Roll, let it roll, the workers makin' double time

Oooh, tragedy

Gone, now it's gone, doors locked by corporate greed

Rustbelt

In the Rustbelt

In this Rustbelt

Tragedy
